About the Hypno card
Numbered 8 of 62 in Fossil, released in October 1999, Hypno is a Rare Holo, a Stage 1 Psychic-type carrying 90 HP.
It evolves from Drowzee, so Hypno is a later-stage card that set-builders usually slot into a full evolution run rather than buy alone.
Illustrated by Ken Sugimori. Sugimori is the lead character designer of Pokémon itself, so his card art carries the tight, on-model look that defined how the creatures appear in the games.
Printed on the card, the Hypno Pokédex entry reads: "When it locks eyes with an enemy, it will use a mix of psi moves such as Hypnosis and Confusion."

Print variants and how to spot them
Fossil shipped in 1st Edition and Unlimited, with no Shadowless print. The Edition 1 stamp under the artwork separates the scarcer 1st Edition Hypno from the Unlimited copy.
Grading and condition
Hypno lives and dies on its holo surface in grading. The psychic foil catches light at angles that hide hairlines in a flat photo, so tilt it under a lamp, then measure the borders, where Wizards-era centering is the second-most-common grade cap.
