Ditto · Crown Zenith, what to know.
About the Ditto card
Numbered 107 of 160 in Crown Zenith, released in January 2023, Ditto is a Rare Holo, a Basic Colorless-type carrying 70 HP.
As a Basic Pokémon, Ditto needs no prior evolution to put into play, which made it a practical card in the era's decks.
Illustrated by KIYOTAKA OSHIYAMA.
Ditto carries this Pokédex flavor text: "It can reconstitute its entire cellular structure to change into what it sees, but it returns to normal when it relaxes."
About Ditto in the Pokémon world
A pink blob Pokémon that can transform into copies of other Pokémon. Unique mechanic in Gen 1. Fossil holo Ditto is one of the most beloved Fossil holos. The "Transform" mechanic translated to a famous TCG card mechanic where Ditto could become any basic Pokémon in play.
What is Ditto worth?
Ditto is a holo rare, one of the cards that holds Crown Zenith's value. The rarity tier decides most of it, since the same card prints at several tiers with very different prices. In top-grade 1st Edition, Crown Zenith holos range from the mid hundreds for the lesser cards up to the set's marquee chase; raw and Unlimited copies trade for a fraction of that. The live market price above shows the current figure by grade.
Print variants and how to spot them
Confirm the print and finish on Ditto before pricing it, since variant and rarity set the market more than the card name alone.
Grading and condition
On a holo like Ditto, surface is the grade cap. The colorless foil shows hairlines under raking light, and the print reveals scratches that flat scans miss. Centering on the left and right borders is the second thing to check.
If you are collecting Ditto
When you go to buy Ditto, settle three things in order: the print variant, the condition, and a comp for that exact combination. A blended average across variants will mislead you on Ditto, so price the specific copy in front of you.
