Unown [A] is card 14 of 75 in Neo Discovery, released in June 2001, a Rare Holo. It is a Basic Psychic-type with 40 HP.

As a Basic Pokémon, Unown [A] needs no prior evolution to put into play, which made it a practical card in the era's decks.

The card's flavor text gives Unown [A] a line of lore: "Their shapes look like hieroglyphs on ancient tablets. It is said that the two are somehow related."

Unown [A] is a holo rare, one of the cards that holds Neo Discovery's value. The print variant decides most of it: a 1st Edition copy in high grade commands a large premium over a Shadowless or Unlimited one.
