Numbered 77 of 111 in Neo Genesis, released in December 2000, Sudowoodo is a Common, a Basic Fighting-type carrying 60 HP.
As a Basic Pokémon, Sudowoodo needs no prior evolution to put into play, which made it a practical card in the era's decks.
Illustrated by Ken Sugimori. Sugimori is the lead character designer of Pokémon itself, so his card art carries the tight, on-model look that defined how the creatures appear in the games.
Sudowoodo carries this Pokédex flavor text: "Although it always pretends to be a tree, its composition appears to be closer to a rock than a plant."
