Eldegoss · Evolving Skies, what to know.
About the Eldegoss card
Eldegoss is card 16 of 237 in Evolving Skies, released in August 2021, a Rare Holo. It is a Stage 1 Grass-type with 80 HP.
As a Stage 1, it evolves from Gossifleur, which places Eldegoss deeper in its line and means most collectors hold it alongside the cards it evolves from.
Illustrated by Kouki Saitou.
The Pokédex entry printed on Eldegoss reads: "The cotton on the head of this Pokémon can be spun into a glossy, gorgeous yarn—a Galar regional specialty."
What is Eldegoss worth?
Eldegoss is a holo rare, one of the cards that holds Evolving Skies's value. The rarity tier decides most of it, since the same card prints at several tiers with very different prices. In top-grade 1st Edition, Evolving Skies holos range from the mid hundreds for the lesser cards up to the set's marquee chase; raw and Unlimited copies trade for a fraction of that. Print variants and how to spot them
Confirm the print and finish on Eldegoss before pricing it, since variant and rarity set the market more than the card name alone.
Grading and condition
Eldegoss lives and dies on its holo surface in grading. The grass foil catches light at angles that hide hairlines in a flat photo, so tilt it under a lamp, then measure the borders, where modern centering is the second-most-common grade cap.
If you are collecting Eldegoss
If you are buying Eldegoss, work in order: confirm the print variant first, then the grade, then price against recent sales for that exact variant and grade. Price the Eldegoss against the population report, since modern holo supply is large.
