Brock's Onix · Gym Heroes, what to know.
About the Brock's Onix card
Numbered 21 of 132 in Gym Heroes, released in August 2000, Brock's Onix is a Rare, a Basic Fighting-type carrying 70 HP.
As a Basic Pokémon, Onix needs no prior evolution to put into play, which made it a practical card in the era's decks.
Brock is the Rock-type Gym Leader of Pewter City and Ash's longtime traveling companion. Brock's Onix is part of that themed lineup.

About Onix in the Pokémon world
A massive snake of boulders. Brock's signature Pokémon in the anime. Base Set Common. Sentimental and cheap.
What is Brock's Onix worth?
Brock's Onix is a non-holo Rare. In Gym Heroes, value concentrates in the holo rares, so a Brock's Onix trades modestly, though a clean, well-centered 1st Edition copy in PSA 10 is scarcer than the print run suggests and carries a real premium. Check the live price above for the figure by grade.
Print variants and how to spot them
Gym Heroes shipped in 1st Edition and Unlimited, with no Shadowless print. The trainer-prefix naming runs across the set, and the 1st Edition Brock's Onix carries the Edition 1 stamp and a premium over Unlimited in matching grade.
Grading and condition
On Brock's Onix, look at the corners and the framed border first. Non-holo Rares took more handling than the chase holos, so a sharp, centered copy of Brock's Onix in a true PSA 10 is harder to find than the print run suggests.
If you are collecting Brock's Onix
For Brock's Onix, check centering by eye, edge whitening on all four sides, and surface under angled light. Non-holo Rares from this era are cheap enough that a PSA 10 submission on a clean Brock's Onix can make sense.
Three prints, three markets.
Edition 1 stamp under the artwork. Trades above Unlimited in matching grade.
No stamp. The standard, more affordable print.
